Can you please let me know if there is API to terminate contract line and using the API if we termin

Hello we have a requirement to terminate a contract line through API. Can you please let me know if there is any API and also if it generates a credit memo as it does from front end. Appreciate If anybody has worked in the past for a similar requirement and has a sample code
