upgrade RAC one node from 11g to 12c issue

When we upgrade our RAC one node from 11g to12c, we got this error message which stopped us going further: [NS-43100] Insufficient space available in the ASM diskgroup CVOTE. We did run the pre-check script to make sure all environments meet the upgrade request. Does anybody had the same experience and how you fixed it? We initially had 2G for the voting disk, now we increased it to 20G. We just hope we will not facing the same error again. Thanks!
