Oracle Home contention

Dear all,

on ODAVP, we are regularly facing issues with space contention on /u01.

Basically we create all databases on separated Homes (as by default with OAKCLI) in order to be able to patch them separately.

If you have 6 databases (approx. 200GB each) with 3 environments each: PROD, QA, TEST. This means that we need 18 Homes (approx. 110GB).

Unfortunately the /u01 on the ODA_BASE is  "only" 92GB. So we are in a situation were we use 3,6TB out of the 24 TB available (Normal Redundancy, Local Backup) but are blocked due to /u01 which cannot host more homes.

Indeed ODAVP is limited to 7 to 9 Homes max on this basis...
