How to connect to Hive v1.2.1 on Hortonworks HDP 2.3.4.7 from Hyperion Essbase 11.1.2.4

Trying to extract Hive Data into Essbase and looking for any certified methods to do so without using ETL tools like ODI.

Oracle document doesnt talk much about this particular pattern and any help/info is much appreciated.
