BOM: Default Bill of Material Levels v/s bom_parameters.maximum_bom_level in R12

This query is related to BOM (Bill of Materials) Not sure if I am posting in the correct forum.

Request the forum moderators to route the thread to appropriate team.

We are looking at increasing the BOM level for explosion to a higher value than the current.

We understand that BOM levels are used extensively in BOM processes and Cost Roll-ups.

We would like to understand the impact of increasing BOM levels in the functionality perspective and

performance of the processes that utilize BOM levels.

Also, we believe BOM levels can be set at:

1. BOM: Default Bill of Material Levels profile option.
