Common Attribute Framework and 'Required' Flag on Record Context

 

For an attribute that we have built and added to a delivered record, the data-entry page does not seem to pay attention to the 'Required' flag set to 'off'.

Records in use: ADM_APPL_PROG and SAD_PROG_CAF

On the Record Context page, in the 'Attributes' Box users can either check the 'Required' flag 'ON' or leave it 'OFF'.  We have left it 'OFF' for the only attribute [short text]. 

When a user is on the Application Program Data page and is in 'Update/Display' mode, on a record that was created before the attribute, if they insert a new row and click 'Save' there is no error message and the record saves.
