Printer: how to change directory driver?

Hi,

   

we are working with printer setup, driver,..so on,my doubt is  might be possible to define the printers from JDE application to use the drivers stored on a separate directory?

I believe driver  are locate in /usr directory, but could be locate in other directory? and then setup printer from JDE app?..it will work?
