ePro item catalogs when we have items with different setids and a single setid for item category

Our system is setup with multiple setids for items and a single setid for item categories. Each category can be used on any of the items with different setids. For example if SHARE is the setid for item categories we have items with NETWK, ADMIN, GENRL setids. As of now everything works fine with purchasing and requisitions. We have not been using item catalogs.

Now we intend to implement eProcurement in our system. We are on FSCM 9.1 and PT 8.53.14. For doing a demo to the business users, we are trying to setup a simple item catalog and a direct connect supplier. For creating the item catalog, I built a tree with structure id ITEMS and setid GENRL for a specific business unit that only uses items with setid GENRL. The tree was setup with a bunch of categories that have items with setid GENRL. Each tree node is setup with dynamic range.
