Update Price for items on Price list

We want to update price for a few items on Price List, using a custom concurrent program. I want to understand if there is way that after performing the update, price of those items on open Sales Orders (in booked or Picked status) can get updated? Is there a profile option or setting, that can reflect the change on SO lines that have not been shipped? If no, can we customize the system to make the update reflect?

We are using Oracle EBS R12.1.3. Any help will be appreciated.
