Accounts Payable Trial Balance - Text Output

We are in the process of migrating to R12.  Our finance team has reports they have been using for a long time and they require the Accounts Payable Trial Balance to output in a true text format.  When I tried changing the output format from XML to text I did receive a text file.  However, it included all the XML tags as well which makes it unusable.

Is there a way to create a true text output file without the tags?
