Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. AP Accounting Program Perfromance Issues

Hi,

We had a severe performance issue with Create Accounting/Accounting Program on the day of period close. It took 9 hours to complete.

Create accounting won't run this longer, execution time is much faster.

We have this program running every night on the schedule, so we didn't let the unaccounted transaction to build during month end.

We ran the program in summary mode with Transfer to GL as Yes, post to GL as No, Report as Summary.

It just accounted 2100 Accounting event of all process category combined, so volume is also low.

We don't have SLA Diagnostic turned on , No of processor is 1 per unit size of 5000 .
