Migrating storage server by mirroring zpool (rpool) on Guest LDOM

We've procured a new storage server and virtualization hosts, and plan to migrate Guest LDOMs from old storage array to new arrays along with new virtualization host.

We do not plan to use storage replication(block-level), rather host-based replication (zpool mirror).

Would provisioning storage storage from new array to ldom and mirroring rpool using zpool mirror be a suggested method?

Upon provisioning storage from new array, I would migrate LDOM to new virtualization host and zpool split or detach old storage array disk.

Thus accomplishing storage and host migration.

Any suggestions?
