12c Windows: Oracle Home User Password and LSNRCTL Utility
Are you being prompted for an Oracle Home user password when trying to create a listener process? Are you unable to recall the Oracle Home user password you
set during the Installation on your Windows server?
Here's some help:
While you cannot change the Oracle Home user post installation, you can easily manage the password for this account on Windows.
If you need to determine the name of the Oracle Home user, run a CMD prompt with Administrator privileges.
Enter the following: orahomeuserctl list
You'll see the following output. Note that the Oracle Home User is 'oracle'.
\app\oracle\product\12.1.0\dbhome_1\BIN>orahomeuserctl list
