IP15: Popup Text Area Box - errors out

HI,

We are on IP15 with SUI theme applied.

We are trying to implement a code to popup the Text Area field (Description) when user clicks on the control. I had gone through the Oracle Open UI training and we had similar example provided. So, I tried to implement the same code and applied on my application. The Popup works but there are empty applets/ views showing up. And when inspected, it gives me an error in console.

Error:

TypeError: Cannot read property 'attr' of null

    at PopUpTextFieldPW.SiebelAppFacade.PopUpTextFieldPW.PopUpTextFieldPW.BindEvents (eval at globalEval (http://siebel-sbx/ecommunications_enu/23048/scripts/3rdParty/jquery.js?_scb=15.4.0.0_SIA_[23048]_ENU:330:5
