Implication of cancelling R584121 ( Invoice Generation)

Hi We have Invoice Generation R48121 running in our production Env. The job has been running for over 28 hours. If the job is running when our backups kick in then we might have issue with our backups. Can someone please advise what the implications will be to terminate the job and run at a later time.
