Oracle PIM 12.2.5

Hi,

I am new to Oracle PIM. Could you please let me know what is the major differences between PIM 12.1.3 and PIM 12.2.5?

Also I read that in 12.2.5 version Oracle suggests to use ODI for publishing, can we use pl/sql instead for publishing Items and BOMs? If so what should be the approach.
