FS1 FC connection to the SAN

Hi all I have the following questions, can I connect only 2 FC port to the SAN?  1 per controller, the FS1 has 8 FC port (4 per controller), but the customer only wants to connect 2, I explain him the best practices will be to connect all port to his SAN, but he only wants to connect 2, is it supported?
