Same Explain plan - Twice the elapsed time

,Hi, I'm looking for some assistance/direction with investigating and drilling down into the below problem scenario.

I have two separate 11.2.0.4 (patched to the April PSU) RDBMS installations on two separate host environments.

Site A is running on a VMWare ESX cluster and X86 processor architecture.

Site B is running on a Oracle Solaris LDOM (T7).

I have an application which was pointed to both sites for bench marking and performed some functions.* I have access to resubmit some SQL queries via the app schema if necessary for further testing.

What was evident from looking at 10046/10053 traces, SQLHC and SQL Monitor reports was that (of one of a number of particular queries) - the execution time on site B was almost double that of Site A. The explain plan on both sites was/is the same. Statistics are gathered in the same way and are as current on each site.
