whether we can delete xml and template file from file system

Hi

May I confirm something with you about the doc below

when we run XML Publisher in R12.2, I think we will use the data that be loaded to database by XDOLoader utility

then whether we can delete the files that under the folder below,will it has any effect?

$<CUSTOM>_TOP/patch/115/publisher/defs folder.

$<CUSTOM>_TOP/patch/115/publisher/templates/<LANG> folder
