Update external System menu item on Contact List Applet

Hello Experts,

There exists Update external System menu item on Contact List Applet which invokes SynchContact method through command and there exists a below user property at applet level

Named Method 2: SynchContact  'INVOKE', 'EventMethodSynchronizeContact'. I could not find any reference for the 'EventMethodSynchronizeContact' method. Client is asking if there is any importance/risk of this menu item else we can inactivate it.
