Zero Value transaction in AR

Hi,

Could anyone please tell me the purpose of a zero value AR transaction ?

I tried to create one transaction with zero amounts and system allowed me to create it. So I want to know the real life scenarios where this could be used ?

Also, is there any way to stop the system for not allowing this type of transactions ?
