Is anyone using Active or Passive RFID with EBS for material and inventory management?

I'm looking at implementing automated receiving via fixed gate readers as well as material tracking via GPS/triangulation with status updates leveraging geo-fencing using vehicle mounted readers to facilitate locate/pick/issue. There are systems out there that can do this but they tend to be standalone MRP solutions in their own right and therefore complex to integrate with an ERP system like EBS. Ideally I'd like to leverage EBS APIs and mobile solutions, minimizing any man-in-the-middle applications or databases. Has anyone done this?
