Mass Change vs Mass Transaction Manager PeopleSoft 9.2 PT 8.54

It looks like the concept of Mass Change goes away in PeopleTools 8.54 (first link)  But I recall a lot of very enthusiastic discussion about Mass Transaction Manger (second link).


Is Mass Transaction Manager going to stay or should I design an application to create records on Depr Reporting Archive?  I don’t want to create an application when Mass Transaction Manager works so smoothly in 9.2.  I also don’t want  to design to a solution that is going away.

Important!  Mass Change is a deprecated product. Support will be maintained for this product, but no new development will be produced for Mass Change. If you used Mass Change in previous PeopleSoft releases, it is strongly recommended that you use Application Engine instead.
