Any additional performance benefit adding host based LVM striping over EMC SAN LUNS already hardware

Hello,

This is a storage provisioning configuration question.

Storage Array involved: EMC VMAX, 120GB cache. Thin LUNS with Wide striping enabled.

>>>NOTE: We are not utilizing ASM just plain ext4 filesystems <<<

I just want to know under Linux OS  with Oracle 12c, if there are any additional performance read or write benefits  if  I added additional host based striping using LVM on EMC VMAX thin provisioned LUNS (that are already striped and mirrored at the back end EMC VMAX SAN array)?

I opened a case with Oracle Support but all their documents refer to ASM  implementations and they cannot help any further.
