check if real time apply enabled on active dataguard

Hi,

In Active datagaurd I think a dba can make mistake while starting mrp and not using current logfile so it will not be real time apply.I am writing a script to check this.Any pointers please if we can check if the active datagaurd has real time apply enabled  or a simple apply.I know one is to check alert log - any other pointers please.
