Kits where the line type inventory interface is C in P4310

Is it possible to add an item with stocking type K for kit, but where the line type's inventory interface is c to p4310 and have it show the kit details? I already have the display details processing option set to display detail. If I add an item with stocking type k and line type s, my kit parent and components will appear in the po detail, but not the one with stocking type k and line type with inventory interface C.
