What does the term "ALC Enabled Book" Refer to?

While trying to determine if the error we are encountering for Mass Additions is due to a known bug, the document references "ALC Enabled Book". What does this mean?

"The cause of this problem has been identified and verified in published bUG 18831518">Bug 18831518: LIFE-TO-DATE DEPRECIATION CANNOT BE GREATER THAN THE RECOVERABLE COST - POST MASS ADDITIONS
as the cause.

Addition of a fully reserved asset to an ALC enabled book was failing with following error.
"Life-To-Date Depreciation cannot be greater than the Recoverable Cost."

Howdy, Stranger!
