Unable to update Tax profile in 12.2.4 from customer's page

is it not possible to update customer site tax profile in 12.2.4 environment through the customers page. in 12.1.3 there was an option to save the changes there, but in 12.2.4 its not.

are we supposed to go through the tax manager responsibility to update the third party tax profile? Please confirm.
