In Quoting HTML UI, how to restrict the Actions in the LOV based on Quote Status

Our requirement is to restrict the Action 'Create New Version' in the Update Quote page, based on quote Status.

I realise that as per standard functionality, this action is not available when the Quote is in either 'Pending Approval' and 'Order Submitted' statuses, but we need to extend this to few other specific statuses as well.

E.g. Create New Version should not be available when the Quote is in a status called 'Won' (custom status)

Is there any way we can achieve this through setups or simple OAF personalization (by not extending the VO)?
