Lot Manufacturing Date

Hi All, my company is in the trading business and I need to find a date field to store the actual manufactured date of the item when I received it into the warehouse. There are no good fields I can use within the F4108 table. There are no user reserved date field and I couldn't use User Date 1 as it needs to be earlier than on hand date. If I need to customize to add this field, should it be added to lot master (F4108) or find a tag file?
