Creating CAM Preventive maintenance orders in advance

Client is using JDEdwards ERP 9.1 with tool set 9.1.2.3

we have implemented CAM module for the refinery maintenance practices. We have setup a lot of preventive maintenance (PM) schedules. We use maintenance rules to decide the timing for creation of PM work orders from PM schedule.

e.g. Weekly PM schedules are created when they are 3 % due. In such case, if the PM schedule set up is done to create orders every Monday; then the PM orders are getting created every Tuesday for the next week's Monday work.

Now, the requirement of client is to create the PM orders in advance. So, weekly orders should be created 3 weeks in advance.... I tried using negative % values in maintenance rules but it does not work
