General Ledger view of FA Entries - Subledger Accounting v Custom Acc Generator

Hi,

    my client currently uses a Custom Account Generator in R12. They are undertaking some work and we have suggested that this is an opportune time to convert to SLA (quoting standard reasons provided by Oracle notes). It should be noted that the Custom Account Generator works for them and does not cause any issues.

When in the General Ledger forms is there any functionality that they would gain (or lose) by moving to the SLA?

For example via Journal Inquiry they can currently;

  • select the Journal
  • undertake a Line Drilldown
  • view the Transaction (and Detail) from FA
  • view the T-Accounts
