Entitlement of Warranty in Depot across OU's

Gurus.

I would like to understand the standard behavior of warranty contract entitlement in Depot Repair under the following case scenario. We are trying to convert the warranties and are wondering if we can bring all the warranties in a single OU1 and these contracts can entitle the products being used in all the depots in other OU's (OU2,OU3....etc). What are the key parameters which dictate the entitlement process.

Scenario:

Active Warranty Contract WC1 exists the Product P1 in OU 'OU1'

Repair Order for Product P1 is created in OU2 for an inventory org IO2

Will the repair order created retrieve the contract WC1 that will cover the repairs? Do the contract and the repair order need to be in the same OU's?
