Receivables Customers Linked to Payables/Purchasing Suppliers

Hi,

I am wondering if there is a negative impact by having your Receivables Customers and Payables/Purchasing Suppliers NOT Linked by the same Party.

We are running into scenarios where receivables staff will update party level details and in turn it updates the Supplier record to incorrect information of the Supplier side.
