Fusion tax and Projects

Does anybody know, or can point me to where I can find the answer, if the tax engine in R11 Fusion can access any Project related attributes?

I have the scenario where tax recovery varies by the type of project.

In EBS R12 we ended up adding another segment to the GL Chart of Accounts which was populated via Project Account Generator / Auto Accounting, I would just like to know if the situation has changed with Fusion.
