Dual Oracle Installation on Unix box

I have a server running Oracle 11.2.0.3 on Solaris 10 (Update 11)  with my production  and test database running.

PROD 11.2.0.3

TEST 11.2.0.3

My Oracle home is

ORACLE_HOME=/oracle11g/product/11.2.0.3

ADR  is in   /oracle11g/diag

ORACLE_BASE=/oracle11g

USER= oracle

I would like to install Oracle 12c  on the same server and a new filesystem has been created for me to use for my ORACLE12_HOME  =/oracle12c

I have been using the Quick Install notes  section 15 - "Configuring the Oracle Software owner Environment" , point 9 which states
