How to restrict leave balances as per entitlement per year ?

As per current scenario annual leave entitlement is 24 days and if an employee is applying for more than 24 days leaves , system is allowing to apply more than 24 days.

Requirement is to restrict , if staff apply for leave more than 24 days system should not allow to avail or show error.

How this can be catered in the system ?
