How to capture MAC Address in OAT

Hello,

My client requires to capture MAC address along with serial number for equipment.

I know we can store serial number while receiving items but not sure who can we capture MAC address which can flow to OAT.

I am planning to capture MAC Address in a inventory DFF while receiving it and write logic into OAT post hook to update OAT record with this MAC address in attribute column.

Do you see any issue with this approach or is there any standard way to achieve this without any modification ?
