impact of WIP Accounting class change

if we change the WIP accounting class set up (say change Resource Valuation account from X to Y and disable Account X), what will be impact on WIP Jobs that are in progress (in released status but not completed). Will they still attract account X or will they attract account Y? What happens if the account X is disabled (from GL KFF Value maintenance window)
