Batch Control Issue

Hi,

So I was testing for the 'batch Control' feature in GL Batch. I created a batch with a control total of 500 and I deliberately created a journal with a debit/credit amount exceeding 500. When I tried to post the batch, Oracle would not allow posting, which was expected.

Now I amended the debit/credit amounts so that the batch total remain within the control total. But when I post the batch, I am getting the same message as before. Could somebody advise on this.
