How to link pick lists

Is there a way to link pick lists for the sake of ease of maintenance? For example we need 2 pick lists with the same values but one pick list would be placed on the Lead and another on the Client object. So, when we add a value on one of these pick lists, the other one will be changed automatically. The same mechanism which exists between Mr./Ms. fields on Client. Basically we would like to replicate that same mechanism to our custom made pick lists on Client and Lead. Is this possible to do?
