PRVG-1011 : The CRS software versions found on cluster nodes when running precheck for addnode.sh

I am trying to move a database server from a cluster which had 11.2.0.4 GI to a cluster which have 12.1.0.2 GI. I was able to delete the node from the existing cluster. But when trying to add node to the new cluster, I'm running into issue where addnode.sh is complaining with PRVG-1011 : The CRS software versions found on cluster nodes do not match.

Anyone ran into this before? Why is addnode.sh even looking for version on the new server? Isn't it suppose to clone the binaries and everything based on the current version of the cluster where I'm running the addnode.sh from?
