How to maintain and find Item Cost History

Hello All

I have a requirement to find the Item Cost for a given item on a give date.

How can we maintain this history on the oracle forms

and Is it maintained by default in any of the history tables.

I also found a form - Item Cost History - But it says-This function is valid only for average, FIFO and LIFO.

And we are using Standard Costing.
