Numeric options formatting not available in SmartSlice

Hi

Currently using HFM version 11.1.1.1600.070  smartview version 11.1.2.300

When trying to use Smart Slice on my HFM application I see no options for Numeric Formatting . However on an Essbase application when i try to smartslice this option exists.

So i guess my question is does Numeric Formatting on Smart slice depend on how the HFM and Essbase application were created ?
