Prevent invoicing of a particular Subscription line till first renewal

Hi

The requirement is to prevent billing of a particular subscription line of  contract till renewal. There can be other lines in the contract which will have billing schedules with in the first contract period.

- Bill Service 'At Renewal' at header level does not help as it will be effective for the entire contract

- Unchecking 'Invoice' flag at line level might not work as the contract line will not be billed even after renewal

Please let me know if there is any standard way to achieve this. The contract in question is planned to be created through an API, Are there ways to get one line as already billed?
