Increase Length of Extension Column on S_SRV_REQ Table

HI,  During our development phase, we added an extension column to the S_SRV_REQ table and defined its length to be 150.  In testing we discovered it's length needs to be 255.  Is it possible to increase the existing extension columns length from 150 to 255 via Siebel Tools, then apply the change to the underlying schema via the Apply/DDL button?  Thanks.  John
