Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. As already ,I mention that i am new for Database performance tuning.

I have confusion on below query.

1.What is mean by index rebuilding?

2.When to go for index rebuilding?

3.Why index rebuild is required?

4.How index is work in oracle?

5.Difference rebuild compress,rebuild nocompress,rebuild compress 1?
