Missing RMAN configuration settings after backup based duplication

Hello expert,

                     Recently I did two database refresh using backup based duplication where no connection to target band recovery catalog is required.For both the cases I found that user defined RMAN configuration settings are not present after database refresh.Does anybody has similar kind of experience?Also share your other experiences with this approach.
