Can I use 'AP_VENDOR_PUB_PKG.Update_Vendor_Site' to update Supplier Site Inactive_date for multiple

Hi,

I have a requirement to update the several thousand Supplier Site records which are currently not being used by specifying an Inactive Date.  Due to the number of records to be updated I would like to use an AP, and have found an example of AP_VENDOR_PUB_PKG.Update_Vendor_Site being used to enter an Inactive Date for a single Supplier Site.  This looks promising but there are a lot of articles online that say this is not supported.  As I have not been able to find anything later than 2014 I now can't tell whether the official position on this has changed.
