Date/Time Picker in Open UI

In Siebel when the user is on a datetime filed and opens the datepicker, if the field has a value it will be displayed in the pop up calendar.  If the field is empty then todays date is shown for the noon hour.  Can we change datepicker-ext.js to show todays date and current time instead when the value is empty?  This will allow the Enter button to set todays date AND current time when the value is empty instead of the noon hour.
